White Plains is retail. There are several shopping malls here; indeed the big story of development in White Plains over the past two decades is the enclosed malls - The Galleria, The Westchester, and The Westchester Pavilion. In the dark ages (circa 1960), Mamaroneck Avenue was known as the golden mile for the upscale, quality retailers that lined the street.  read more »
